LUCKNOW: Be it for its political or commercial associations or its connection with cricket, Sahara may have emerged as the biggest Indian brand with its chairman Subrata Roy claiming that the company’s brand value is $10.5 billion or about Rs 48,000 crore.
Earlier last month, corporate giant Tatas had claimed that the value of their brand was Rs 24,396 crore. They also claimed that in terms of brand valuation, the company was possibly “head and shoulders above anybody.”
“Brand Finance, one of the top two global consultants, has valued Sahara brand at $10.5 billion,” Roy said in an interview when asked about how he rated his group among the business houses in India.
