NEW DELHI: Railway Minister Lalu Prasad visited the Ferozeshah Kotla on Friday to watch the second day's play of first cricket Test between India and Pakistan.
On his first glimpse, fans at the stadium remarked, "Look, Lalu is also there!"
After watching the match for a few minutes, Lalu was seen heading towards the dressing room. However, it was not confirmed whether he met any player.
Lalu, the President of Bihar Cricket Association, had hit headlines when he had openly supported the BCCI's rival Indian Cricket League and promised to provide Railway stadiums for their matches when the BCCI refused their infrastructure.
INZAMAM'S SHOE IS TOO BIG:
Despite his impressive innings of 82 runs under pressure, former Pakistan opener Aamir Sohail felt that Misbah-ul Haq was not ready to replace Inzamam-ul Haq in the team.
"Inzamam's shoe is too big to be able to fill in by anyone else. It's number 30," Sohail said in an informal chat.
Misbah today played at the same position as the former captain and got run out in similar fashion as Haq.
SIX-PACK SUPERMAN AND BATMAN:
After Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan hit headlines for his well sculpted six-pack in his latest Hindi flick, it was the turn of Superman and Batman to show off their abs.
While cricket fans from the subcontinent were freaking out at the Ferozeshah Kotla by wearing their respective national colours, some non-Asians were spotted in the typical outfits of Superman and Batman and drew attention for their prominent abs and bight clothings.
Both Superman and Batman obliged the on-lookers and photographers by happily posing for snaps and waving to the crowds.
TEST IT:
For those who think T20 cricket was a threat to other versions of the game, the interest of the Handa family towards the longer version may just be an eye opener.
Delhi businessman Sushil Handa said he was on a holiday along with his children to watch the match.
"We have all taken holiday to enjoy the match, even kids are missing their school for the game," he said.
Asked if it was thrilling enough, he said "considering that this is a Test, it's quite action-packed. And after all this is Test cricket."
