NEW DELHI: The serial blasts in Ahmedabad and Bangalore have evoked anger and strong condemnation of bloggers, who have given vent to their feelings online as the terrorist attacks have left at least 46 people killed.
An agitated netizen, Simarprit Singh, in his blog pleaded with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to take steps to thwart such attacks.
"Prime Minister of India, please listen to our prayers and act. We have enough problems on hand, every Indian is troubled with inflation and other economic issues, our bandwiths are occupied and peace, security and prosperity is challenged. Sir, please act," wrote Singh Saturday, a few hours after the blasts.
"What are we waiting for and how can we allow this? Is our territory and land open to abuse at will? It is high time that 'India under attack' should mean 'India would retaliate' or now 'India would attack'," Singh wrote.
While condemning the attacks, the bloggers urged the people not to resort to violence.
One blogger named Real Indian wrote: "Milo apne friends ke saath, sadako par aakar apni baat bolo khulkar..ye News channel hamare liye hai ya naki neta aur heroes ke liye..But remember..no violence..kissi bekasoor ko maare nahi. (Meet your friends, come out on the roads and put your point openly. News channels are for us and not for politicians and actors. But remember, no violence, no innocent should be killed)."
For some, the gory scenes of blood stained bodies and mangled buses evoked strong emotions.
"Were you born with an empty bosom, without a heart that can feel and love? When the innocents die and people cry, do you sit there and laugh? You are a demon who ought be in hell, you are a corpse, walking without a soul. Do a favour, strangle yourself till you die," reads the blog of sunnysideofliving.
The bloggers also had advice for their countrymen on how to keep safe in the troubled times.
"In times like this, please keep away from crowded places and try to avoid travelling for a few days. Inform police immediately of any suspicious activity. Keep general vigilance in and around your vicinity," writes Sachin Uppal in his blog.
The back-to-back synchronised bomb blasts hit the Indian cities of Ahmedabad and Bangalore Friday and Saturday. The attacks claimed the lives of nearly 46 people and left over 150 injured.
