A senior CPI-M MP has again asked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to take stern action against terror activities of saffron groups.
NEW DELHI: A senior CPI-M MP, who had two months ago brought to the notice about alleged activities in Bhonsale Military School, has again asked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to take stern action against terror activities of saffron groups.
In a letter, Hannan Mollah said he had earlier pointed out that "organisations like Bajrang Dal, Sanathan Sanstha, Hindu Jan Jagriti Samiti, Guru Kripa Pratisthan etc., were allegedly involved in "some" bomb blasts and engaged in making bombs and giving arms training.
"Already terrorists organisations from minority outfits are engaged in terrorists activities and now the new outfits are joining them. I demand that terrorist organisations, whatever may be their identity, should be treated as enemy of the nation and stern action taken to crush such anti-national activities," he said.
Mollah's fresh letter was in continuation to an earlier communication to the Prime Minister, written on September two, where he had pointed out that the government had "failed" to take action on the serious situation arising out of the strengthening of some "fascist organisations".
The letter had also highlighted statements of film producer Mahesh Bhatt, Justice (retd) B G Kolse, former Gujarat DGP R B Sreekumar and social activist Teesta Setalvad.
"It should be kept in mind that no innocent people are harassed. So far I have not received any response from the government about the action taken," he said.
The CPI-M leader said Bhatt, Kolse, Sreekumar and Setalvad had alleged that some neo-fascist organisations are engaged in getting training in arms, bomb making and bomb explosion in Bhonsale Military School.
"Bajrang Dal is training people to attack minorities in different parts of the country. They are planting bombs in mosques in disguise of Muslim terrorists," he told the prime minister.
The first letter was written nearly a month before the Malegaon blasts for which the Maharashtra ATS arrested a serving Army Lt Colonel and several members of right wing Hindu groups.
Mollah claimed that it had been said there was a link between 2007 blast cases in Nanded-Purbhani-Pune and Jalna and the attacks on Christians in Orissa was a result of "instigation" of known VHP-RSS leaders. Besides names of Sanathan Snastha, Hindu Jagram Samiti and Gurkripa Pratisthan came up in Thane Panvel blasts in 2008.
The CPI-M leader alleged that the CBI, which was probing the Nanded blast case, was "planfully covering up these terror network by majority communal forces" and the agency was "influenced" by such communal activities.
Mollah said in the interest of the national unity and integrity of our country and people to protect all the minorities in the country and to isolate and punish all kinds of "fascists forces", to rescue government machinery from the "influence of communal forces" and to clear CBI from the cloud of their role vis-a-vis communal forces, he should take serious action.
"I hope government will take serious and necessary action in this regard and inform me about the action taken," he said.
