Amit Mishra wasn't in the room during alleged assault?

According to leading TV channel, Amit Mishra wasn’t in the hotel room at the time the woman claimed to be have been assaulted by him, a source close to the cricketer said. The source told ABP News: “She is not his girlfriend. He (Amit Mishra) didn’t even know that she was in his room. She picked up the access card from the hotel staff and entered the room without Amit’s knowledge,” the source told ABP News.”

“The time she has claimed to have been assaulted by Amit, he had gone out to have dinner with friends. Then how can he abuse or assault her. There was no fight. He didn’t assault her,” he added.

According to the FIR, the woman claimed that she had gone to meet Mishra in his hotel room on September 25.  According to the lady in question, Mishra lost his cool when he found her in his room and hit her with his fists and also threw a kettle at her face.

Mishra is meanwhile available for selection for the next ODI. Harbhajan Singh said: “Amit Mishra is definitely available for tomorrow. If the management feels that he should be playing on this track, he will play.” (Read: Amit Mishra available says Harbhajan Singh)
