Ferrari have had so many drivers put forward as possible replacements for injured Brazilian Felipe Massa they have drawn up a tongue-in-cheek 'waiting list' from A to V.

The Formula One world champions posted 21 names in alphabetical order on their official website (www.ferrari.com).

The teams said: "It might not be the best season (for Ferrari), but the possibility to drive one of the reds must be very appetising, at least when one considers the number of drivers who have been brought up by the media and the fans and even by some of the drivers themselves as candidates".

Those listed include Spain's double world champion Fernando Alonso, already linked to the team for 2010, and Italy's MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi.

Ferrari said they had drawn the line at "suggestions from the afterworld".

Italian test driver Luca Badoer replaced Massa at last weekend's European Grand Prix in Valencia and crossed the line as the last car running. The 38-year-old Italian was slowest in second practice at Spa on Friday.

The next race after Belgium is Ferrari's home Italian Grand Prix at Monza, increasing speculation that Badoer, who had not raced for nearly a decade before his comeback, could be replaced if he fails to show significant improvement on Sunday.
