Girlfriend helps Lewis Hamilton beat jet lag

Formula One ace Lewis Hamilton says meeting his girlfriend helped him beat jet lag.

Hamilton, 25, who is romancing Pussycat Dolls beauty Nicole Scherzinger, 31, met up with the singer in Los Angeles when he was on his way to last month's Australian GP in Melbourne.

"It was probably the best trip in terms of jet lag," the Sun quoted Hamilton, as saying.

He added: "Normally you spend a night in China and get to Australia a bit tired.

"So I got to stay in LA for a couple of days then slept the whole way.

"The secret is meeting up with your girlfriend half-way."
