Injured Australian all-rounder Moises Henriques has said that he is hopeful of returning to the field in a week.

He has set his sights on playing in the Australian one-day team for the summer series against West Indies and Pakistan.

"As a kid, I said all I wanted was to play one game for Australia, but when you get that one game, you just want more and more," a paper quoted Henriques, who returned home yesterday, as saying.

"I am still learning my craft. Playing for your country isn’t easy, maybe this is what I needed to show me how professional you need to be to ensure you’re able to take the field every time," he added.

Henriques, 22, has played two one-dayers and one Twenty20 for Australia.

"I want to be back in a week or two", he said.
