West Indies ground on remorselessly to 463 for four at lunch on the fourth day of the second test against South Africa in St Kitts on Monday.

Shivnarine Chanderpaul added just 12 runs in the morning session to reach 163 not out with all-rounder Dwayne Bravo on 44 after facing the bulk of spinner Paul Harris's negative bowling pitched outside the leg stump.

The session produced a mere 39 runs with just one boundary, an exquisite extra cover drive struck by Bravo off fast bowler Dale Steyn.
