Here is a list of ghost towns in India that you must visit:

Dhanushkodi, Tamil Nadu: Located on the southern tip of Pamban Island, this town was devastated by a cyclone in 1964.

Lakhpat, Gujarat: It was once a flourishing city and centre of trade. It was abandoned after multiple earthquakes.

Ross Island, Andaman and Nicobar Islands: Located in Port Blair, this Island was the administrative headquarters of the British. But, it was abandoned during 1945-46.

Fatehpur Sikri, Uttar Pradesh: A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this city was the capital of the Mughal Empire in the 16th century. However, scarcity of water compelled the residents to seek refuge elsewhere.

Kuldhara, Rajasthan: This Abandoned village near Jaisalmer once housed many people. But, legends have it that this village was deserted mysteriously overnight in the 19th century.

Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu: An old beach town in Tamil Nadu was the capital of Pallava kingdom but gradually became deserted. The magnificent monuments and architectural structures stand erect even today.

Mandav, Madhya Pradesh: Situated in Madhya Pradesh, this was a major fort town for the Mughals.

Nagarjuna Konda Buddhist Stupas, Hyderabad: This abandoned city is a little away from Hyderabad. This is where Acharya Nagarjuna supposedly lived before it became a thriving city about 18000 years ago.
