At 11 PM, an hour before her shift was ending, Emelia Holden, a waitress in Savannah, Georgia experienced the most disgusting and everyday experience that is almost ubiquitous with womanhood across the world. She was groped by a customer who walked away casually as if he could get away with it. This time however, there was no place to hide for the pervert.
The incident took place on June 30 and one of Holden’s relatives had posted the surveillance footage on Reddit last week. First she thought, it was her female co-worker joking, but when she realised it was a customer, she walked up to her abuser and body-slammed him against a wall. The video has gone viral across the world, as a warning to men who grope that women are no longer going to stand for it. She added: “It felt a lot longer than it was, but then watching it I realized how quickly I reacted to it. I’m 115 pounds…I didn’t know I couldn’t do that.”
The groper, Cherwinski is 175 pounds. He has been charged with sexual battery. Holden further said: “I was really satisfied when he was arrested. It not only felt like justice for me but justice for the other women who have had that happen.” The accused had tried to claim to the police that he had touched her by accident.
