There are various exams conducted every year. While some are recruitment exams, others are admission exams.

Here is a list of the toughest exams in the country.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services: It is considered to be the second toughest exam in the whole world. UPSC Civil Services exam is conducted to recruit IAS, IFS, and IPS officers. 

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)- Joint Entrance Exam (JEE): The IIT-JEE is conducted to give admission to eligible students to the IITs.

Common Admission Test (CAT): CAT is also one of the toughest exams in the country. It is conducted to give admission to eligible candidates to the Indian Institutes of Managements (IIMS) for MBA and other commerce courses.

UPSC NDA: The Union Public Service Commission also conducts the National Defence Academy (NDA) exam for candidates after class 12 to hire candidates for the Defence Services.

ICAI CA: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India conducts the CA exam, which is also one of the toughest exams in India.

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT): It is conducted to give admission to candidates to India's premier National Law Universities (NLUs).

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET): This exam is conducted for admission of eligible candidates to government medical colleges of the country and abroad.
