Shaktikanta Das is serving as the current and 25th governor of the Reserve Bank of India
As per NBT report, Shaktikanta Das's monthly salary in the last financial year was RS 2.5 lakh.
The four deputy governors at the RBI including MD Patra, M Rajeshwar Rao, MK Jain, T Rabi Sankar drew Rs 2.25 lakh rupees per month each, as on March end.

The perks and facilities of the RBI governor include accommodation, a car and a driver apart from other benefits.
Apart from the salary, the RBI governor also gets a DA and grade allowance.
Monthly reimbursements for education, household and medical expenses among others.
Shaktikanta Das became the governor of the Reserve Bank of India in 2018 because which he was amember of the 15th Finance Commission and g20 Sherpa of India.
During Shaktikanta Das's career as an IAS officer, Das served in various capacities for Indian and Tamil Nadu governments, including as Economic Affairs Secretary, Revenue Secretary, Fertilizers Secretary.
