Every year a Global Peace Index is released.
It is done to identify the most peaceful countries in the world.
Here is a list of world's most peaceful countries as per Global Index 2023:
Iceland has maintained the top position for 17 consecutive years in the list of most peaceful countries.
Denmark has secured the second place in the Global Peace Index.
Ireland: Ireland is one of the happiest and most developed countries and has secured the third position in the list.
New Zealand: This country holds the fourth position among the most peaceful countries in the world.
Austria: The landlocked country in Central Europe has secured fifth place as a peaceful country.
Singapore: Singapore has become the sixth most peaceful country in the world.
Portugal: This country has a population of 10 million people and has been ranked seventh in the peace index.
