BAPS Hindu Mandir is the first-ever Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi. This temple is known as the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir.

This shrine was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 14.

It is situated near the Abu Dhabi-Dubai Highway.

The BAPS Hindu Mandir is the only stone temple of its kind in the whole of the Middle East.

The Hindu monks arrived at the temple in Abu Mureikha on Monday, February 12.

The temple is 108 feet high and is 262 feet long.

The mandir houses idols of Swaminarayan, Akshar-Purushottam, Radha-Krishna, Rama-Sita, Lakshmana, Hanuman, Shiva-Parvati, Ganesha, Kartikeya, Padmavati-Venkateshwara, Jagannath, and Ayyappan.

In August 2015, the UAE government declared the decision to provide land for building a Hindu mandir in Abu Dhabi.
