Lt Gen Singh, who is the head of EME of the Indian Army, shared the dais with Governor Dr Kamla and GTU Vice-Chancellor Dr Akshai Aggarwal. The General said the   students should come up with green products and help improve environmental conditions and plan sustainable development strategy.

“One needs to follow five rules in life - abide by bed time, work out as soon as you get up, decide your day plan a night before, write bright ideas during work time, and follow and remain positively oriented,” he said.

Aggarwal said now that the first convocation was over, the GTU would have alumni to guide the varsity. “After you pass out from the university into the open competitive world, please continue to give your feedback about the programmes. This will help us update our existing programmes. We may also be able to help you through developing Continuing Education Programmes (CEPs) if you inform us about your needs. Like University of California, Berkeley, we want to develop a diverse and robust portfolio of CEP to help our alumni to move ahead in their work place,” he said.
