In a bid to draw attention of the state government toward the demand of capitation fee, donations and the interviews of parents conducted by schools, the Crescent School Parents’ Association and Mouth Organ Lovers will jointly agitate at the education directorate at Central Building on Thursday.Speaking to the media on Monday, association president Matin Mujawar said, “Every year in December, the parents have to beeline outside schools to seek admission forms for their children. But the schools take advantage of parents by charging exorbitant fees.”To prevent schools from charging excessive fees in form of donations and capitation fees, the parents association demands that the government should implement a centralisation admission process from pre-primary section from 2011-2012, Mujawar said. He said, “The state government should make school education for free.”The Mouth Organ Lovers will participate in the agitation by play the instrument. Famous mouth organ players such as Nandu Belwalkar and Arun Sarnobat will join them. The agitation will start with offering flowers, a slate and chalk at the statue of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar in Camp.
