In a rumour widely spread on Wednesday morning, it was said that Trivedi was on his way to Gandhinagar to submit his resignation to the state governor. However, after getting bail from the metro court, Trivedi resumed his work as V-C on Wednesday.

Sources said, Trivedi reached his office at 11 am. When asked about speculative talk of his resignation, Trivedi chose not to comment. However, sources close to him said there is no plan of him resigning. Sources said he hopes to get justice. Trivedi was arrested on Tuesday morning following an atrocity case against him.
