A complaint was lodged with Gomtipur police station on Saturday by a 38-year-old woman alleging that her workplace in-charge harassed her after she complained about his behaviour to her superiors.
According to police, the complaint was lodged by victim Heena (name changed), a resident of Ramol. She stated in her complaint that she got married in 2017 and was now living with her husband. She has been working with a private company from the past six months.
A couple of days ago, she had complained about her in-charge identified as Anirudh Roy, who works as the safety officer for leering and making comments on her in Gandhinagar. On Saturday afternoon, when she was at work the accused approached her and started shouting for complaining about him to the bosses. During the incident, Roy even threatened to kill her husband and grabbed her hand. After the incident took place, Heena screamed for help, which alerted other employees who rushed to the spot and Roy had to leave her alone. Heena informed her husband regarding the incident, and later a complaint was lodged. As per police the accused is absconding after the incident and search for him is on.
