After last year’s controversy of its students diagnosed with dengue, Ahmedabad International School (AIS) finds itself embroiled in fresh row of teaching under three boards in the same school.

Following reports that AIS runs multiple education institutes in the same building, Hasmukh Adhia, principal secretary of education department, asked district education officer (DEO) and officials at Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) to find out details and file a report to him.

AIS is affiliated to International Baccalaureate (IB) and GSHSEB, and offers Cambridge International Examination as well. Reports say that all courses are run from same building but Dr Tarulata (executive director of AIS) claims her school has one campus in Bodakdev. The three courses are taught in different buildings within the campus.

The school is also facing flak for charging late-fee of Rs50 per day from parents who didn’t pay tuition fee before April 30. When new academic session started on June 11, AIS demanded Rs2,050 from parents. Some of the parents had also created ruckus in the issue.
