Amit Shah in Ahmedabad to address party issues

Bharatiya Janata Party's national president Amit Shah is going to come on Wednesday evening in Ahmedabad. He will conduct important meetings with top brass of the party for two days.

Party chief is here to ensure that party members' are kept in good mood for the run up to the election, as there is possibility of some changing side after the list of candidates is announced.

The major issue is for Unjha assembly constituency where the by polls are going to be held on April 3. The former MLA Naran Patel has been opposing Congress turncoat Dr Asha Patel who is front runner in the race for the ticket.

A senior party leader of BJP confirmed the updates and said, "Last time when he had come to file nomination, a day before also he had summoned all the BJP leaders at his home and had literally rapped them over political imbroglio prevailing in state. The local leadership failed to control the damage and therefore now Amitbhai has to play the role of rescuer."

Shah will arrive Ahmedabad in a private charter in the evening and will reach his residence directly. The BJP chief may start meeting in night and that could last till the late night, the leader added.

Moreover, he is also going to discuss the issues related to poll rallies by PM Narendra Modi that will be held in Gujarat April 10 onwards. The party chief will push the local organisation to bring in voters in maximum numbers for the rally as the PM will address one rally for three to four constituencies at one go.

"The poll rallies being addressed by local leaders are not receiving response from voters as per the expectations of the party. Amit Bhai will also give directives on the issues to be raised during poll campaign," the senior leader further added.
