The DEO was talking to reporters about preparations for counting of votes when she made the comment in response to a question. "These are baseless allegations, and I don't think any clarification is needed. If a clarification has to be issued, it would be by Election Commission," she said. Singh said that preparations for counting of votes has been completed. "A three-tier security cordon will be in place for the counting of votes. The counting of votes in 21 counting halls in Ahmedabad will be webcast. A DCP-level officer has been deployed at each centre," she added.
