Gujarat university has postponed its dates of regular examination by few days. The examination for regular students, which were set to start on April 10 will now be conducted on April 16 whereas two other phases of exams, that were set to begin from April 24 and May 1 will now be conducted on April 25 and May 5 respectively. This decision was taken after some students had made representations to delay the exams by few days.

GU has been mired in controversies for quite some time. Recently M.Com students of the university were also left in shock after they learnt that final exams will be conducted as per old syllabus. The students eventually approached the controller of examination as colleges had taught their students as per new syllabus.

The university in December last year too had rescheduled its examination for semester 3 and 5 after the college managements refused to give their college buildings citing renovation as the reason for refusing permission. Due to this, the second and third phase of exams were also rescheduled.
