While the court received threat of blast in the court between December 20 and December 23, the advocates' association has passed a resolution for the protection of litigants and lawyers, stating that during the dates of threats the lawyers would stay away from work.

Talking to DNA, Bharat Shah, secretary, Ahmedabad Metropolitan Magistrate Court Bar Association, stated they have passed the resolution for the protection of the litigants and the lawyers. The resolution is passed for three days from Tuesday to Friday.

He further said, "The association has several times demanded high security but there is no improvement. We have asked for security at every floor, CCTV cameras at every floor and sensitive points, and more police officers to guard the city's most sensitive area. As our pleas have gone unheard, we may raise a protest demanding security for the court."

Meanwhile the police have apparently increased the security level in the court. On Tuesday, the two gates of the court were closed and at one gate the police frisked people whom they suspected.
