CM Narendra Modi on Monday chose to lash out at UPA government for misusing CBI for political interests, though he was presiding over an event to hand out employment letters to youngsters as part of Swami Vivekananda Youth Employment Week.
“Modi is not afraid of CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation), widely known as ‘Congress Bureau of Investigation’ or any other politicized agency. No government is going to rule Delhi forever,” said Modi, while addressing the youngsters at Mahatma Mandir on Monday.
He also accused the investigation agency of “conspiring” against officers and ministers of the state at the behest of its political master.
The chief minister went on to say that he isn’t going to be bogged down by fear of the CBI. “With every passing day, this government is hatching conspiracies and their biggest tool is the CBI. It is ‘Congress Bureau of Investigation’,” he said.
“I warn all those who are trying to appease their political masters by becoming a potent tool in their hands, to trouble ministers and officers (of Gujarat) and are conspiring to put them in jail,” said Modi in an apparent reference to CBI. “Nation has lost faith in CBI,” he claimed. Modi also said that Centre should devote more time in rescuing those affected by Uttarakhand natural calamity.
As part Swami Vivekananda Youth Employment Week, Gujarat Government intends to give employment letters to over 40,000 youngsters within a week’s time. (with agencies)
