Initiative allows people to submit details of their domestic help for verification on the Ahmedabad police portal.
In a major relief to landlords and people employing domestic help, the Ahmedabad police have launched an online facility allowing them to file the verification forms for tenants and servants on its web portal www.ahmedabadcitypolice.org.
People are no more required to visit a police station to collect the registration form and then submit it for verification. With a view to make the revamped and re-launched portal more people-friendly, city police have introduced the online registration facility for both services.
Apart from the usual features and sections, the newly launched website has two more add-on features in their ‘Service’ section. These features include Domestic help (Gharghati) online Registration, and Tenant (Bhaduat) online Registration.
Once a person clicks on any of these links, he will be directed to an online form which will have similar fields like physical form given by police stations earlier.
In the online form for domestic help registration, people who have hired such domestic help will be required to fill up mandatory information. This information includes name, mobile number and temporary as well as permanent addresses of the owner and domestic help.
In addition, the owner can upload the scanned image of ID proof of his domestic help, which can be his passport, driving license or pan card. After filling up these details, the owner needs to submit the online form by clicking on ‘Submit’ button.
“It is a very simple process. We are doing away with the previous system, which was somewhat tedious for the owners. After people submit the details, rest of the procedure will be completed by their respective police station” said Niraj Badgujar, deputy commissioner of police (Zone-1).
Just like registration of domestic help, people can submit the online form for their tenants as well. In addition to other common details, property owners need to upload their own ID proof as well as that of the tenant. Property owners are also required to upload the photo of their tenant in addition to the scanned image of his ID proof.
