Meanwhile, sources said that his condition is stable. “He was already a patient of a renal problem and it is believed that his current state is due to the same than CCHF. However, he continues to be under observation until his test reports come,” said an official close to the development.

Meanwhile, another official of the health department said that it can be believed that Dr Smiral Parikh, who succumbed to CCHF, may have contracted the disease from the patient he was treating. The patient later died of haemorrhagic fever.

"The blood test of the patient that Dr Parikh was treating had showed negative for dengue, malaria and other such common diseases," said sources.
