INS Brahmaputra was standing at Mumbai's Navy Dockyard for maintenance. On Sunday, during the repair, a fire suddenly broke out. The firefighters who were there took action and controlled the fire, but after this, INS Brahmaputra tilted to one side in the sea. Straightening this warship weighing 3,850 tons is the most difficult challenge at the moment.

A junior sailor has been missing since this accident. He jumped into the sea at the time of the accident. All efforts are being made but this warship is not able to be straightened. Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi has informed Defense Minister Rajnath Singh about the fire incident in the Indian Navy ship Brahmaputra and the damage caused by this incident. The Defense Minister has prayed for the safety of the missing sailor.

INS Brahmaputra is the first missile frigate of the 'Brahmaputra' class built in the country. It was inducted into the Indian Navy in 2000. The speciality of this warship makes it different from all others.
