The automaker MG Motor India is bringing in some cosmetic revisions in its seven-seater MG Hector 2021, which is expected to be launched in January.

Morris Garages (MG) Motor India will be launching its new 2021 MG Hector in the first month of the coming year. It will be a seven-seater version of the Hector launched earlier.

MG Motor India had made its Indian debut in the middle of the last year through the Hector, which instantly became a consistent seller for the company. The British automaker brought in as a five-seater at that time.

Later, the company expanded its portfolio in India with the electrified ZS and a six-seater version of the Hector, aptly named the Hector Plus.

The Hector is going to have a mid-cycle update with the launch of its seven-seater version soon.

The 2021 MG Hector will come with more cosmetic revisions than the Hector Plus. From what is known thus far, there will be new alloy wheels in the car. It will also have an updated front grille with chrome inserts, which will make it look premium and attractive.

The bumpers, headlights, and daylight running lights are expected to be the same as the existing model. Both the grille and the wheels will make for a good road presence for the upcoming vehicle though.

It will be accompanied with some updates in the spacious cabin. First, there will be fewer physical buttons as most of its operations will be handled through the portrait 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The system is going to be compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The updated version will also have more airbags, AI-based functions, light beige upholstery, and a panoramic sunroof.

Not many mechanical changes are expected in the 2021 MG Hector. It will still be powered by 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel.

The British manufacturer had also launched the Gloster full-sized SUV earlier to compete with other names in the market like Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner.
