Bugatti has unveiled the Tourbillon, a groundbreaking addition to its lineup, succeeding the Chiron and marking a significant evolution in hypercar design and technology. This new model departs from the traditional W16 engine, introducing a hybrid powertrain that combines innovation and performance.

The Tourbillon features an 8.3-liter V16 engine producing 1,000 horsepower, paired with three electric motors that add an additional 800 horsepower, resulting in a combined output of 1,800 horsepower. This impressive hybrid setup allows the Tourbillon to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just two seconds, reach 200 km/h in under five seconds, and achieve 300 km/h in under ten seconds. The car’s top speed is an astounding 445 km/h, surpassing the Chiron's standard capabilities.

Production of the Tourbillon is limited to just 250 units, all of which have already been sold. The price for this exclusive hypercar is set at GBP 3.2 million (approximately Rs 34 crore), excluding taxes and duties. The car's design retains the iconic Bugatti aesthetic with a horseshoe grille and central spine while incorporating new features for enhanced aerodynamics and cooling. The car’s weight is reduced to 1,995 kg, lighter than the Chiron, thanks to a bespoke carbon shell.

The Tourbillon also includes a 25 kWh battery pack that provides up to 60 km of electric-only driving, contributing to its hybrid nature and overall performance. Inside, the car blends luxury with advanced technology, featuring a mechanical instrument panel designed by Swiss watchmakers with 600 components and a fixed steering hub to keep the gauge cluster stationary.

The Tourbillon’s aerodynamic design includes a submerged rear wing and an active spoiler that functions effectively at all speeds. The car’s surfaces and inlets are meticulously crafted to enhance performance and cooling.

In the competitive landscape, the Bugatti Tourbillon stands out against models like the Koenigsegg Jesko and Pagani Utopia, focusing on exclusivity, high performance, and intricate design. This new model sets a benchmark in the world of luxury hypercars, showcasing Bugatti’s commitment to innovation and excellence.
