The wait is over for thousands of two-wheeler enthusiasts awaiting the arrival of German automaker BMW’s first maxi-scooter in India. BMW Motorrad India is set to launch the C 400 GT maxi-scooter on Tuesday, October 12.

A maxi-scooter is a bigger version of the typical scooter with a bigger engine in a larger frame. BMW’s debutant C 400 GT will be the most powerful scooter available in the Indian market with a 350cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The C 400 GT generates power output of 34hp and torque of 35Nm.  

Among the features that BMW packs in the C 400 GT are keyless ignition, USB charging and TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. For a seamless ride, the scooter is equipped with traction control and ride modes, paired with a CVT transmission.

The design elements of the BMW C 400 GT are sure to catch the eye with the bold frame with large body panels, compact tail and full-LED lights.

The BMW C 400 GT maxi-scooter will cost around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom price). This ranks it at the top of the list of most expensive scooters available in India.
