1,500 policemen on duty in Bangalore Advani 'yatra'

The police have strengthened the security apparatus ahead of BJP patriarch LK Advani’s Jan Chetna Yatra against corruption, which will reach the city on Sunday. Advani will address a public meeting at National College ground in Basavanagudi.  Police commissioner BG Jyothi Prakash Mirji on Saturday said that over 1,500 police personnel, including senior police officers up to the rank of additional commissioner of police, will be deployed on bandobast duty.

Rath yatra is a farce: Moily
Union minister M Veerappa Moily has called Advani’s rath yatra a sham. “Who is he trying to fool? He knew about the corruption in his party. I feel his yatra was directed against his own colleagues.”

Follow these instructions

• People coming to the city from Mysore, Mysore Road, Tumkur Road, Magadi Road and Bellary Road should alight at Shivashankar Circle and walk. Vehicles must be parked in CAR ground.
• Those coming from Kanakapura Road, Bannerghatta Road, Hosur Road and Kolar should alight at Diwan Madhava Rao Circle on KR Road and walk to the venue. Vehicles must park in NMKRV college ground and corporation ground. 
• Two-wheelers, cars and tempos must park in Kote High School ground in Chamarajpet. VIP vehicles must be parked at Uttaradi Mutt Main Road. Cars must be parked on Shankarapuram Main Road and two-wheelers must be parked on 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Cross.

  Minerva Circle, JC Road, Shivaji Junction, Town Hall, NR Square, Police Corner-KG Road,  Mysore Bank Circle, Palace Road, Maharani Underpass, COD Junction, AGS Junction, Basaveshwara Junction, Old High Grounds PS Junction, T Chowdaiah Road, Windsor Manor Junction, Kumara Krupa Road, Hotel Ashoka.
• On Monday
  Between 8.30am and 10.30am
