Bickering in the BJP caused yet another flutter on Monday, with Mudigere MLA, MP Kumaraswamy, deciding to quit in protest against alleged conspiracy to end his political career. However, Kumaraswamy, who came to Vidhana Soudha to submit his resignation, has to wait since assembly speaker KG Bopaiah is not in Bangalore. Kumaraswamy said he would meet the speaker and submit the resignation. “I am being neglected in the party.
Nobody is ready to listen to my grievances. Efforts are on to finish me politically. I am deeply hurt by these developments and hence have decided to quit, “ he said.
Though Kumaraswamy did not elaborate on his allegations, party sources said he is angry at the alleged harassment from party president of Chikkamagalur unit, Pranesh, and a few others. He is also unhappy at the recent expulsion of one of his aides, who was the vice-president of Aldur town panchayat.
