Citrix will launch a startup accelerator innovator programme in the city. The accelerator aims to help entrepreneurs build the next generation of technologies and companies.
"We are helping entrepreneurs build the next-generation of technologies and companies," said Sudhakar Ramakrishna, senior vice president and general manager of the enterprise and service provider division at Citrix Systems, Inc. "The focus of the Innovators Program is on accelerating business solutions and openly sharing approaches that have been integral to Citrix innovation."
Twelve teams will be selected to receive support, in-depth training, and a workspace at the Citrix Bangalore office. Innovation teams will learn to develop and bring to market business technology offerings that focus on user needs and helping people work better. Nascent entrepreneurial teams will learn alongside new corporate product teams, and will also receive seed funding. Participants will receive mentoring and guidance from seasoned business executives, industry leaders and venture capital investors.
"We are building bridges between Silicon Valley and other innovation ecosystems to help new companies succeed in this dynamic and transformative mobile era," said John McIntyre, managing director of The Citrix Startup Accelerator.
Citrix will join hands with the NASSCOM 10K team for the program. "The NASSCOM 10000 Startup program is delighted to collaborate with Citrix on this innovative program that offers early-stage Indian technology teams a unique opportunity to be mentored and supported by a truly world class set of industry experts and resources," said Ravi Gururaj, chairman of the NASSCOM Product Council.
