Congress will hold a massive protest to demand the resignation of Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa at Freedom Park from 11am to 5pm on Saturday.
G Parameshwar, president, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, said Yeddyurappa had no right to continue.
“Till the state BJP government quits, we will continue our fight,” he said.
He said that the party will request governor HR Bhardwaj to dismiss the BJP government based on the Lok Ayukta report.
In Delhi, Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi refuted suggestions that the party was applying double standards and refusing to take action against those indicted by the Delhi Lok Ayukta.
“The two issues are entirely different. In Delhi, the Lok Ayukta merely referred to the non-fulfilment of election promises,” he said.
