A group of 15 people, claiming to be activists of Dalitha Sangarsha Samiti (DSS), were allegedly involved in a verbal clash with personnel of the Sadashivanagar traffic police station over a drink-driving case late on Friday night.

Both the parties have filed complaint against each other.

Sadashivanagar police said car of one Sangarasu was intercepted near the police station and the alcometer reading showed that he was drunk. The traffic police registered a drink-driving case. Sangarasu and his friends resisted when the car was being seized. An altercation ensued between the group and traffic police.

Siib, 15 people reached the Sadashivanagar traffic police station and opposed the police action.

Finally, the police registered complaints from both the sides.  Sangarasu has alleged that the traffic police misbehaved by slapping him. Traffic police inspector Ashok Narayan Pese alleged that the group obstructed their duty.
