Mayor D Venkatesh Murthy has directed the BBMP commissioner to widen the 4-km-long Laskar-Hosur Road, which has progressed slowly over the past three years.
The project had started four years ago. Officials concerned are showing negligence, stating that the BBMP has not acquired land for the work. Mayor said corrective action should be taken in this regard.
BBMP commissioner Rajneesh Goel questioned officers about the reason for delay in acquiring land even after the BBMP had issued notices to 47 property owners. He said wherever the owners have agreed to provide their land, the BBMP officers should acquire it and start the work.
