The graduation ceremony of medical assistants was held at the Medical Training Centre, Air Force (MTC AF), on Saturday, in which 76 medical assistants were inducted into the Indian Air Force.

The ceremony was the culmination of 36 weeks of gruelling and backbreaking physical conditioning as well as intensive and exhaustive trade training at MTC AF. The parade at the ceremony was reviewed by Air Commodore Pawan Mullick, Command Non-Technical Training Officer, Training Command.

He also presented trophies to the meritorious trainees. In his address, he urged them to develop high sense of care, compassion and empathy towards the patients.

He highlighted that the patients come to a healthcare facility with a lot of expectations and nothing should be done to belie their trust and confidence. He also urged everyone to keep abreast with the latest medical updates and “Service with a Smile” should be the motto despite all personal discomforts.

Leading aircraftman Prakash Bhattarai won the trophies for the Best All-rounder and Best in Trade, while the Best in Ground Service Training trophy was bagged by aircraftman Hari Prasad BS.
