Lok Ayukta disposes of BJP MLA’s bail plea

The Lok Ayukta court disposed of the anticipatory bail plea filed by MLA SR Vishwanath of Yelahanka regarding a private complaint, which alleged that he had amassed Rs70 crore in Bangalore after entering politics.

The Lok Ayukta court disposed of the anticipatory bail plea filed by MLA SR Vishwanath of Yelahanka regarding a private complaint, which alleged that he had amassed Rs70 crore in Bangalore after entering politics.

V Sashidhar had filed a private complaint against MLA with the Lokayukta special court.

Sashidhar had alleged that the MLA had amassed property worth more than Rs70 crore after coming to power.

The Lok Ayukta police has ordered a probe against the MLA and submitted a report on the same on January 9. Vishwanath later filed for an anticipatory bail in the Lok Ayukta Court.

The case had come up for hearing before Judge NK Sudhindra Rao, who had reserved the case for orders.

The Lok Ayukta police filed an affidavit stating that they will not arrest Vishwanath. Hence the judge has disposed of the case.
