Two killed, 18 injured in mishap in Karnataka

The mishap occurred when the driver of the bus which was proceeding from Bellary to Dharmasthala lost control, probably because he was feeling sleepy.

Two persons were killed and 18, including three children, injured when a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation bus fell off a bridge into a rivulet, near Tarikere 60 km from here today, police said.
  
The deceased were identified as Jagadish and Devendra, a native of Andhra Pradesh, both aged between 35-40 years, deputy superintendent of police  Mallikarjunappa told PTI.
  
Out of 18 injured, 15 including the bus driver are being treated at a government hospital in Tarikere while five who sustained fracture have been shifted to Shimoga government hospital, he said.
