There is no doubt that Sara Ali Khan is one of the most promising actresses in Bollywood today. Sara started her career with Sushant Singh Rajput starrer 'Kedarnath' and then went on to work with Ranveer Singh in 'Simmba', Kartik Aaryan in 'Love Aaj Kal', and now will be seen in 'Coolie No 1' opposite Varun Dhawan.
'Coolie No 1' is a remake of the 1995 film by the same name starring Govinda and Karisma Kapoor. In an exclusive chat with DNA, Sara opened up about the release of her film on December 25 and called it a 'different experience'.
Referring to the film's OTT release amid the coronavirus pandemic, Sara said, "I'm quite excited. It is a different experience with the way it is releasing but I am definitely very excited."
Sara also opened up about the thought process of the team including director David Dhawan and co-actor Varun.
She said, "Comparison with the original film is bound to happen and it is not something I can safeguard myself from but on a personal level, I know that I am not trying to copy Karisma Kapoor because she is an inspiration and it is impossible to do that."
When asked what does Sara Ali Khan brings to the table, the actor said, "My attempt is to bring a newness, a freshness to the table. Working with Varun Dhawan, which I have always been kicked to do. I hope people focus on that newness and that chemistry rather than try to pressurise us, you know, with ratings and stars."
'Coolie No 1' is directed by Varun's father and filmmaker David Dhawan and is set for premiere on Amazon Prime Video during Christmas that is, December 25, 2020.
On the work front, Sara Ali Khan is currently shooting in Agra for Aanand L Rai's 'Atrangi Re' opposite Dhanush and Akshay Kumar.
