Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan seemed to have a blast during the shoot of their soon-to-be streamed film, Coolie No 1. The film is helmed by David Dhawan and is his 45th directorial. This is the first time Sara has worked with both David and Varun. During the recently held trailer launch event of Coolie No 1, Sara shared an anecdote about getting a scolding from David Dhawan on the sets.
The Kedarnath actor recalled, "We were filming 'Main Toh Raste Se' when David sir got upset with me and shouted at me because, although I was ready for my shot, I was supposed to tag something on my costume and that was taking the time."
Sara further shared, "He (Varun) was doing some costume business in the van and David sir got pretty upset at him as it was delaying the shoot. So basically, he was angry at Varun but vented on me. That was a bit of an issue, but it is all good."
Meanwhile, during an interaction with IANS, Sara also called herself as 'David Dhawan' fan. She stated, "When I started, my only dream and desire was to be able to do all kinds of genres of films with all kinds of directors. So, I truly consider myself extremely lucky that I have been given this opportunity because I am of course a die-hard David sir fan. But the truth is, not one particular genre of cinema I like."
Coolie No 1 is slated to stream on Amazon Prime Video from December 25, 2020.
