Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Priyanka Chopra-starrer Bajirao Mastani completed five years of its release today. To celebrate the same, Deepika not only shared an unseen picture with the film's director Sanjay Leela Bhansali on Instagram but also changed her name to 'Mastani'.
Deepika paid homage to her character 'Mastani' and wrote, "Whether in love or war, Mastani was fuelled by her passion, unafraid to write her own destiny, no matter how perilous the path. She never bowed down and always stood her ground with a fierce dignity and a love so strong that its burning embers seared through every societal constraint, to join both her and her lover's names, for all of eternity."

Deepika also changed her social media profile pictures to that of Mastani's and renamed her Instagram and Twitter handle as Mastani.
Deepika Padukone is currently busy with the shoot of her forthcoming film which is Shakun Batra directorial. Amid that, it was reported that the actor has kickstarted the Pathan shoot with Shah Rukh Khan in Mumbai. Deepika is currently busy with multiple projects and has about five films in her kitty. Now during a recent interaction, DP spoke at length about getting back to work during the coronavirus pandemic and juggling between projects.
Deepika told Hindustan Times, "It feels absolutely great to be back on set and do what I love doing the most - performing in front of the camera."
Talking about multiple projects in her kitty, DP shared, "From this point, I have multiple films lined up, so there is certainly no break in the horizon. All my films have been already locked and decided upon, but I can't talk about all of them right now."
