Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi's plate is full of exciting projects like Durgamati starring Bhumi Pednekar, Bachchan Pandey starring Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, and Jacqueline Fernandez, and the second season of critically acclaimed show Asur.
For Arshad, after Durgamati's release, he starts shooting for Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon-starrer Bachchan Pandey, which is an action-comedy. This will be the first time that Arshad and Akshay will be sharing screen space.
For the uninformed, Akshay had stepped into Arshad's role in Jolly LLB 2, has co-produced his next Durgamati, as well. In an exclusive chat with DNA, we asked Arshad about finally collaborating with Akshay for a film, to which he said, "I think he is feeling guilty now to work with me (laughs)."
Ask him how he came on board for Bachchan Pandey and Arshad said, "It was just that, the director of the film Farhad (Farhad Samji). He is the person who has written most of the Golmaal series, so he is a writer. He really, really wanted Akshay and me in a film together. This script he just said, I have to do it, it is great fun."
Speaking about Akshay, he further added, "Me personally, I am not just saying it for effect, I am a big fan of Akshay. I don't think there is any other actor who can pull off comedy as well as Akshay does. He is absolutely hilarious. I think he and me in a film together should be a treat for the audience."
"I am really looking forward to doing Bachchan Pandey with Akshay. Apart from that I am also very, very, very fond of Kriti Sanon and Jacqueline Fernandez. They are absolutely adorable, lovely people. I am just going to enjoy my time with these lovely ladies and Akshay," he concluded.
Arshad also emphasised that they would be doing some insane, comedy, crazy things in the film, it would be comedy gold.
As for Durgamati: The Myth, which also stars Bhumi Pednekar, Jisshu Sengupta, and Mahie Gill, the film is all set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on December 11.
