Veteran actor Neena Gupta's Instagram account is a treasure, whether for her pictures with daughter Masaba Gupta or anecdotes about life. On Wednesday, Neena took to her Instagram account and shared a photo collage of herself and her daughter Masaba, but with a twist.
Neena shared pictures of a magazine cover one from 1993, which featured a younger her in a glamourous pose, and another from this year, featuring Masaba.
She captioned the photo saying, "1993 & 2020, but you’re better my child @masabagupta @feminaindia."
Masaba is Neena and former West Indies cricketer Vivian Richards' daughter. She is a successful fashion designer who made her acting debut earlier this year with Netflix's show Masaba Masaba. Neena, too, starred in the show.
In an interview with Mid-Day, Masaba had said that she always wanted to be an actor but Neena deterred her from it.
She said, "I wanted to act since I was 14, but I was dissuaded by my mother for various reasons. She told me I would be stereotyped. Back then, I wanted to be an actor for the sake of vanity. I wanted to have people fussing over me in the make-up van."
On the work front, this year, Neena was seen in Kangana Ranaut starrer Panga and Amazon Prime Video's popular show, Panchayat. Neena Gupta now has a film called Gwalior lined up, with her 'Badhaai Ho' co-actor Gajraj Rao. She will also be seen in Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone starrer sports drama '83, in which she will play the mother of Ranveer's Kapil Dev.
