Meet actor who was thrown out of popular TV show, then worked with Shah Rukh Khan; now gives Rs 500-crore blockbusters

Manish Wadhwa, born in 1972, is known for playing Chanakya in Chandragupta Maurya, Balaji Vishwanath Bhatt in Peshwa Bajirao, Kans in Paramavatar Shri Krishna, and Amal Nanda/Dansh in Hero – Gayab Mode On.

He also starred as General Qadir in Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan which was a huge box office success.

In 2023, he grabbed everyone's attention when she was seen playing Major General Hamid Iqbal in Gadar 2 which was a huge success. The film reportedly earned Rs 691.08 crores worldwide.

According to BollywoodShaadis, Manish Wadhwa was reportedly removed from the popular mythological show Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev, due to his frequent absences from shooting.

As per a report by Telly Chakkar, Manish said, "Acting has always been my first love. I was never interested in anything else. I have essayed so many positive and negative roles and I must say that this industry is superb to be in. If one has the potential, an actor will definitely grow.” 

While talking about struggles in the industry, he said, "I am still struggling and I think it will be the end of Manish Wadhwa as an actor if I do not struggle."
