Jibraan Khan essayed Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol's on-screen son in Karan Johar's 2001 family drama Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. He also shared screen space with Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor in the film. Khan also played Sushmita Sen and Govinda's on-screen son in the 2001 fantasy comedy Kyo Kii... Main Jhuth Nahin Bolta.

Jibraan Khan is the son of Feroz Khan and Kashmira Khan. Feroz Khan played Arjuna's role in BR Chopra's cult Doordarshan serial Mahabharat, based on the ancient Sankrit epic of the same name. Since Feroz's name had same name as the Bollywood legend Feroz Khan, he had changed his name to Arjun Ferioz Khan professionally.
