Don’t be surprised if you see Ranveer Singh dancing to his wife Deepika Padukone’s song Lovely (from Happy New Year) on TV. The Simmba actor, along with director Rohit Shetty, visited the sets of Kanpur Waale Khuranas, in which Farah Khan plays a nosy neighbour to Sunil Grover. A source from the sets says, “In one segment, when Ranveer had to enact scenes and songs from Happy New Year, he immediately tried to do the hook steps of the song Lovely. Seeing his attempt, Farah, who choreographed the original song featuring Deepika, helped him by teaching the steps to the songs. Once Ranveer perfected the moves, he danced along with Farah and had the crowd cheering for more.”

Zero’s soundtrack has struck a chord with cinegoers as it has something in store for everyone. The three songs, which have released till now, have been composed by Ajay-Atul and are already topping the music charts. 

Mere Naam Tu, a romantic ballad, has been crooned by Abhay Jodhpurkar. The song is a visual treat, thanks to the adorable chemistry between Shah Rukh Khan, who plays the vertically-challenged Bauua, and Anushka Sharma as Aafia Bhinder, a scientist who battles cerebral palsy. Issaqbaazi showcases the affable jugalbandi between the Badshah of Bollywood and Salman Khan. The two superstars are seen dancing away to their hearts’ content to the catchy number, which has been sung by 

Sukhwinder Singh and Divya Kumar. Touted to be the year’s most sizzling track, Husn Parcham features Katrina Kaif. The actress, who plays Babita Kumari in the film, scorches the screen with her dance moves. Crooned by Bhoomi Trivedi and Raja Kumari, the upbeat song has become an instant hit. With three tracks already ruling the playlists, the audience is now looking forward to the film’s other songs.

Red Chillies Entertainment and Colour Yellow Productions come together to bring Zero. Produced by Gauri Khan, the Aanand L Rai directorial releases on December 21.

Sidharth Malhotra has started filming for Marjaavaan in Mumbai. The actor has been training for his action scenes and he has already kick-started the shoot with an elaborate stunt sequence. But there’s one thing that is similar to his previous schedule of Jabariya Jodi (JJ). Sid has been busy shooting post evening even now. “He has almost another two weeks of shoot left where he is working only nights, just like he did for JJ in Lucknow,” says a source close to the actor.

The theatrical trailer of Kangana Ranaut’s next Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi will be unveiled on December 18. While the team recently uploaded a picture of the entire women brigade behind the period drama, we hear the film has an interesting addition in its cast. Danny Denzongpa will be seen essaying a pivotal role in the historical drama. Says a source associated with the film, “Danny plays Ghaus Khan and has several important scenes with 

Kangana.” Ghaus Khan was a senapati to Rani Laxmi Bai and she fondly called him ‘Ghaus Baba’. He was not only the main cannon fighter in her army, but also a father figure and an advisor to Jhansi ki Rani. It will be interesting to see Danny and Kangana’s camaraderie on screen. Kamal Jain, who is producing the film that is backed by Zee Studios and releases on January 25, says, “Danny was our first choice for the part of Ghaus Khan. We didn’t even need to approach anyone else. He suits the character perfectly and has given a fabulous performance.”

Abhimanyu Dassani and Radhika Madan, who will be seen sharing screen space together in their forthcoming film, Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota, had to learn martial arts for their roles. Moreover, they even practised the self-defense techniques on set to make their action scenes look real. The two actors have now been approached by the authorities of a Delhi-based school for a session on the subject, thereby creating awareness among the youth.

Abhimanyu says, “Be it a martial art or any other form of self-defense, one should always be able to protect oneself, especially the female populace. Additionally, it also helps you stay fit and healthy.”

Radhika got so used to training that she started following the life of a martial art practitioner. She adds, “I could very well relate to the self-defense form and how it’s important for every individual to learn it, especially women. So, it’s a good opportunity to create awareness regarding the same among the youth.”
