When Virat Kohli praised Anushka Sharma for changing his life for good, she called him 'world's greatest man'

In an interview with Film Companion in 2018, Anushka Sharma had said, "I am married to the world’s greatest man."

Talking about what keeps them ticking, she added, "I think we are both not so attached to what we do. The other day someone asked me a question you know 'power couple and two powerful people from your own industry. You know when you are together, how do you manage this and all'. And I thought to myself and I told them also, we don’t see ourselves like that. We start to see ourselves that way then there is something really wrong in the nature of our relationship."

In 2018, in a heartwarming Instagram post, Virat Kohli expressed how much he adored his wife for the beautiful individual and the amazing life partner she is. Alongside a photo of Anushka, Virat wrote, "The person that inspires me to push forward despite all obstacles. The person that guides me to do the right thing in life against all odds. The person that has changed me inside out and made me realise the power of true love. My strength. My soulmate (sic)."

In 2019, during India's tour of England, before the warm-up game, when Virat was asked how different it was to be playing for the team before marriage and after it? Virat Kohli had said, "You become responsible, that is what I feel. Before you have a responsibility in your life but that is very different. You start understanding things better (after marriage) and start putting things into perspective a lot more. From that point of view, I have become more responsible and that helps you in captaincy as well. It has only improved my captaincy as a human being and player outside."

During an interview with Filmfare post her marriage, Anushka Sharma had said Virat Kohli and she clicked because the two of them are honest. "His honesty is something I deeply value. I'm an honest person and have suffered on account of that. He’s brutally honest too. I’m so happy that I met someone like him because we both lead our lives with complete honesty. It’s so transparent and clean. I have a life partner with whom nothing is pretentious. Everything is real. Also, the fact that we both support each other. He's someone, who's constantly trying to get better professionally and as an individual. I'm also like that. We don’t take ourselves so seriously. We're similar as people. That's why we get along,” she said.

In a conversation with India teammate Mayank Agarwal on "Open Nets with Mayank", Virat Kohli spoke about Anushka Sharma and said, "I give Anushka full credit for making me see a different side of things altogether. I'm so grateful that Anushka is my life partner as she made me realise a lot of things that are to do with the larger picture. My responsibility as a player, my responsibility with who I am today, what that brings along with it. Setting an example for people in the right manner. All these things have come from Anushka". Virat Kohli also said, "If I hadn't met Anushka I might not have changed as I was not an open person and was very rigid and she's made me change as a person for good".
