After a good start at the ticket windows on Thursday, Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 witnessed a minor dip on Friday. But as was expected, The S.Shankar directorial finally managed to record a massive jump in its Box Office collections on day three of its release. The Hindi version of the movie raked in a total of Rs 25. crore on Saturday.
The overall three day Box Office total of the film (Hindi version) now stants at Rs 63.25 crore. The movie managed to rake in Rs 20.25 crore on Thursday and Rs 18 crore on Friday. When compared with day two collections, 2.0 showed a rise of about 23.46% in its collections on day three.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter account to share the Box Office figures. He wrote, "#2Point0 jumps on Day 3 [Sat]... Growth on Day 3 [vis-à-vis Day 2]: 23.46%... Circuits that were performing okay/low have picked up... Day 4 [Sun] should witness further growth... Thu 20.25 cr, Fri 18 cr, Sat 25 cr. Total: ₹ 63.25 cr. India biz. Note: HINDI version."
2.0 is a sequel to the 2010 blockbuster Enthiran (Robot). The movie also stars Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain in significant roles. The film received mixed response from the critics but has been largely appreciated by the viewers.
2.0 has been riding on a positive word of mouth. This is likely to boost the collections on day 4, i.e., Sunday. Watch this space for the latest updates...
